Are The Seattle Supersonics going to do well this year?

Without Sugar Ray, and Rashard, how will they contend?

how will the new additions do? Wally Szcerbiak, Delonte West, Kurt Thomas, Jeff Green, Kevin Durant.

how will our familiar faces do? Johan Petro, Mikael Gelabale, Chris Wilcox, Mike Wilks, Robert Swift, etc...

Are The Seattle Supersonics going to do well this year?
no they are too young..they have vets like wally and wilcox but they are not that good. They dont have a good point guard with ridnoar/west/wilks. They will win 20-26 games this year.
Reply:i dont think so they lost their 2 stars. but hopefully the additions and the staying sonics will have good chemistry
Reply:a lot better then Last Year so much so they'll be the Most Improved NBA Team, Next Year.
Reply:this year they won't

next year they might

two years they will

three years they probably will get really close to winning it all

if not in four years
Reply:They will do all right but in a few years they are going to be really good
Reply:no
Reply:nope. the mavericks are gunna kick their butt.
Reply:this yr wont be that great but htis is a team 4 the future now they let go of allen and rashard wally is kinda washed up but might still hav sum left in him they need a new pg and a better big man jeff green and kevin durant will become great players in the future but they will need a better supporting cast
Reply:there going to do better this year but they wont make the playoffs in the west
Reply:I think it will be a struggle. When you are rebuilding around young guys, especially rookies, you'll always be a bad team, at least until those young guys get some experience. Durant will get double teamed every time down the court, and I don't think the Sonics have a good second option. They'll have another high draft pick next year, but then it's playoffs for them.
Reply:not very well. i think they'll win 15-25 games
Reply:This year you guys will stink, but the future looks bright.
Reply:No,Kevin Durant will be so busy thinking about how he can out do Greg Oden a.k.a. The Big O, and getting rookie of the year.He will be looking in while Greg is in the playoffs.Like these two were in college
Reply:If they were in the East they would do great and make playoffs but since they are in the east they are too young to bang with the suns, spurs, mavs, and other team in the west during the season and playoffs. Give Kevin Durant some years to live up to his hype and give the team more experience.

They can either finish as an 8th seed or barely miss playoffs.
Reply:they need a whole year to get used to there new team, then they will be good...but it sucks ray allen and rashard lewis left..if they were still in seattle they could of made it to the playoffs and won
Reply:I say at least 25-35 games.
Reply:In my opinion, this Sonics team will do well later, but this year will seem more of a rebuilding year that they can train some young players and draft some1 good. They should hope that this year's draft class will be as good as this ones was so they can draft some smaller players to try and replace Ray and Lewis. The starting lineup should look like this:

Center: Kurt Thomas

Power Foward: Chris Wilcox/ Kevin Durant

Small Foward: Wally Szczerbiak/ Kevin Durant (could play either with his light weight)

Shooting Guard: Delonte West

Point Guard: Ridnour
Reply:There i$ no way they got rid of RAY ALLEN, $o they got a good draft pick he is young
Reply:I think you guys will have an ok season but not a playoff season. I think maybe the season after that if the GM makes some nice moves and gets maybe some more fresh talent and vets maybe the Sonics can get into the playoffs. The GM will have to watch the season and just see what's working and what's not working, make deals accordingly and another high draft pick next year. I think the Sonics are a work in progess team for the time being, we'll see.
Reply:No right now they are not contenders for a championship very young and their core of players are inexpirenced in playing on a NBA court but they contenders for a playoff spot and maybe can get to the second round. But don't be disappointed because in a few years when Kevin Durant and Jeff Green grow + any other draft picks they make in the near future and also make other transaction like trades and free agents. There will be a time where you and a lot of people are going to say wow can anybody contend with the Sonics and they are going to win every single year. Seattle fans would not just care about football and Baseball. Their arena is going to be sold out and still a lot more fans are so disapointed because they couldn't get in and they would be fans like Spurs,Lakers,Celtics, heck maybe even us knick fans would be like why could'nt we be born in seattle to expirence this and would even change teams to root for and become frods for doing so. And Stars would be taking less money to win their and that dynasty would be like the New York Yankees of the NBA.
Reply:probably not

Wow, Is nothing sacred anymore?

Are you outraged?

Disneyland's 'It's a Small World' ride will showcase familiar faces instead of an anonymous cast of characters.

The Anaheim amusement park is planning to add iconic Disney characters to the anonymous international cast of the beloved 'round-the-globe boat ride.

The renovation, which some call a 'gross desecration,' sparks a preservation campaign.

How many visitors over the decades have spent days afterword trying to get that theme song out of their heads?

Anyways, LIFE goes on !

honestly, small world has been in dire need of an overhaul for the past 10 years or so. many of the effects and decoration pieces inside are worn out and look dirty and tacky. they did something to the lighting and (as of my last trip to the park) you could see puddles on the floor, cords running all over the place, and the ugly bases of the set pieces.

there are hundreds upon hundreds of disney purists, but they can't say that the ugly, nearly broken-down small world ride won't be BETTER with a few subtle improvements?

also, the main reason they're doing any of this is to re-build the flume so the ride doesn't break down so much and so the boats don't stick.
Reply:I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but the Disney Parks have ALWAYS been about a saleable commercial product. Granted in a fun and family-friendly way.

When Walt built Disneyland, almost everything in the Park was either from an old movie, current movie or TV show, or as an advertisement for a future movie or TV show. Fortunately, Disney has almost always done this style of advertisement in a non-crass way.

So, technically speaking, adding Disney characters to the Small World ride is really in keeping with a 50+ year tradition.
Reply:I agree with everyone they should just leave it the way it is!
Reply:Maybe Disney could repair the ride a little bit and clean up the broken down ride, fix it and make it look a little more presentable and so it won't break down or anything, but I honestly don't think they should put any characters in. That ride is famous the way it is and it's not fair to those people who have enjoyed the ride the way it is.

Yes: Make it look nicer and clean up the worn out effects

No: Don't put Mickey or whoever on the ride...

I mean, they're animations, what do they have to do with the world...?

I kind of like Disney rides BETTER with out all the icons popping around inside the ride.
Reply:I don't see what all the hullabaloo is about. So Mickey and Donald (or whoever) will be in the ride...so what.
Reply:Someone else just posted something about this. lol.

Anyway, I think it is a terrible idea. Why do they have to go and try to "enhance" the ride. I like "it's a small world" just the way it is! It is one of my favorite attractions and there is no need to try to add familiar characters to it. I like it's charm and how it hasn't been overtaken by the disney characters. I hope they don't "enhance" the ride; I like "it's a small world" just the way it is.
