Did she think i was hitting on her? reckognizing familiar faces/ voices, please help?

Okay I'm at this mall, looking at items at a booth w/ no sales person, all of a sudden the sales girls head pops up, she say "hey, havn't I seen you before, you look very familiar", I respond I don't know you look familiar too, where do i know you from, she ask me where i'm from, say she lives around the area, asks me where i go to school, asks me my name and where i work, I then begin to inquire about the merchandise at the booth, and I tell her "where I know her from will pop in to my head later', then I leave, for about 20 mins I'm at the mall calling my friends to see if they know this girl, I go back and tell her that none of my friends know a "joy", then she say her real name is julie something, I tell her I dont know many julies, then she says "how old are you" I respond 21, she say your too young this isn't going to work", I respond yeah, but "where do I know you from?" she says we probably saw eachother around. Was she saying this kind of sh*t as a sales tactic/ or wtf?

No, she was flirting with you! Duh! She probably thought you were flirting back with your "don't I know you from somewhere?" pitch (shame it was actually true).
