Why is it that when you look and pass by familiar or known faces they refuse to look at you?

I can relate; that has happened to me before. I think that happens when people are insecure - and it could be about anything.

Why is it that when you look and pass by familiar or known faces they refuse to look at you?
Needy, it happens to everyone I think. And there are good people like you and I .And many others. Some people are f-----d up.
