I get shot in my head in all my nightmares !?

I'm 23 y.o. and this has been going on for the past, ummm, 7 years. I've lived in Canada now for 7 years. I grew up in Kngston Jamaica and had a pretty good childhood. I've always thought to myself " wow! this is probably how I will die one day" But I just want to know if anyone out there can translate it for me. In my nightmares, i'm always getting into a confrontation with familiar faces in familiar places in Jamaica. I always end up running away from the person but always end up getting caught and shot point blank in my left frontal lobe w/ a handgun :(

I get shot in my head in all my nightmares !?
hi.

it is probably significant that you say you've had the dream for 7 years and you've lived in canada 7 years.

"i'm always getting into a confrontation with familiar faces" - It seems to me like you are avoiding confronting something in your life. perhaps there is something from your past in Jamaica that you are running from and the dream is trying to get your attention in a dramatic way to tell you that it will eventually catch up to you. better to face it now than for it to catch up to you i'd say.

its hard to really interpret a dream without specific details of the dream- who the people are and what they mean to you. that would probably give you insight into exactly what you are running from- if you don't already know.
Reply:Is there any chance you've spent a lot of time playing video games that involve shooting? Sometimes people dream about stuff they've been thinking about.

Do you ever get bad headaches during the day (which could make you consciously or subconsciously think, "This pain feels like I've been shot in the head.")? Since your dream specifies the "left frontal lobe" I'm led to believe you may get headaches in that area and think about what part of the brain they seem to be coming from.
