how will the new additions do? Wally Szcerbiak, Delonte West, Kurt Thomas, Jeff Green, Kevin Durant.





how will our familiar faces do? Johan Petro, Mikael Gelabale, Chris Wilcox, Mike Wilks, Robert Swift, etc...

Are The Seattle Supersonics going to do well this year?
no they are too young..they have vets like wally and wilcox but they are not that good. They dont have a good point guard with ridnoar/west/wilks. They will win 20-26 games this year.

Reply:I think it will be a struggle. When you are rebuilding around young guys, especially rookies, you'll always be a bad team, at least until those young guys get some experience. Durant will get double teamed every time down the court, and I don't think the Sonics have a good second option. They'll have another high draft pick next year, but then it's playoffs for them.

Reply:No,Kevin Durant will be so busy thinking about how he can out do Greg Oden a.k.a. The Big O, and getting rookie of the year.He will be looking in while Greg is in the playoffs.Like these two were in college
Reply:If they were in the East they would do great and make playoffs but since they are in the east they are too young to bang with the suns,spurs,mavs, and other team in the west during the season and playoffs. Give Kevin Durant some years to live up to his hype and give the team more experience.


They can either finish as an 8th seed or barely miss playoffs.
Reply:they need a whole year to get used to there new team, then they will be good...but it sucks ray allen and rashard lewis left..if they were still in seattle they could of made it to the playoffs and won

Reply:In my opinion, this Sonics team will do well later, but this year will seem more of a rebuilding year that they can train some young players and draft some1 good. They should hope that this year's draft class will be as good as this ones was so they can draft some smaller players to try and replace Ray and Lewis. The starting lineup should look like this:





Center: Kurt Thomas


Power Foward: Chris Wilcox/ Kevin Durant


Small Foward: Wally Szczerbiak/ Kevin Durant (could play either with his light weight)


Shooting Guard: Delonte West


Point Guard: Ridnour

Reply:I think you guys will have an ok season but not a playoff season. I think maybe the season after that if the GM makes some nice moves and gets maybe some more fresh talent and vets maybe the Sonics can get into the playoffs. The GM will have to watch the season and just see what's working and what's not working, make deals accordingly and another high draft pick next year. I think the Sonics are a work in progess team for the time being, we'll see.
Reply:No right now they are not contenders for a championship very young and their core of players are inexpirenced in playing on a NBA court but they contenders for a playoff spot and maybe can get to the second round. But don't be disappointed because in a few years when Kevin Durant and Jeff Green grow + any other draft picks they make in the near future and also make other transaction like trades and free agents. There will be a time where you and a lot of people are going to say wow can anybody contend with the Sonics and they are going to win every single year. Seattle fans would not just care about football and Baseball. Their arena is going to be sold out and still a lot more fans are so disapointed because they couldn't get in and they would be fans like Spurs,Lakers,Celtics, heck maybe even us knick fans would be like why could'nt we be born in seattle to expirence this and would even change teams to root for and become frods for doing so. And Stars would be taking less money to win their and that dynasty would be like the New York Yankees of the NBA.
