Yeah um, I love Hey Arnold!. It brings back a TON of memories for me, it was basically my childhood show. I loved it and still do, but it stopped airing.
My question is this: Hey Arnold portrays the world as a generally happy place, with the small town and familiar faces everywhere you go. Are there really places like that? Places like, when you go down the street, you know the majority of the passerby? I've always wanted to live somewhere with a local butcher, mailman, ice cream man, teacher, familiar neighbors, etc. Hey Arnold gives off such a cozy enviornment of the world.
So my question is this: Are there any real places like that?
Okay, so i've been wondering this since as long as I can remember. Anybody relate??????
Indeed there are. Almost any small town in rural America is like that. I grew up in a town just like that. My uncle WAS the local butcher. My dad owned the one gas station, convenience store, and bait shop. I left town when I finished high school, but eventually brought my own children back to be raised there. For the last 40 years, I know who is at the beauty shop, the furniture store, the school, or the post office simply by seeing whose car is parked out front. It really is a cozy place.
Reply:Yes my town is exactly like that.
