I wanna say the word "Bigao) but I'm not sure. I spent some time on the island and grew quite fond of playing it with--it can be one vs one or two vs two and there's a point system you have to build up to...I can't remember the rules or the scoring or really much at all about itit but that it was a good way to pass an hour or so inside.

Reply:im dominican and we call it "casino" maybe you heard it called as a different name locally while you were there. or perhaps the word "baraja" but yeah, its a favorite pastime of dominicans and its great game ...but its hard to teach it to people here in america for some reason...
