Anything is possible! You can love someone that you don't know on a certain level. If you have watched the person, seen how they are with others, seen what type of person they are, you can possilby love them, without actually knowing them.
Of course more than likely it's more of a curiosity thing wanting to know them and yearning for them which causes the illusion of love.
