Is there anybody that you know personally you would choose for president?

and why would you vote for anyone you really don't know at all? name recognition, familiar face and an arguable "fact list" doesn't mean i know them at all. but can you read something between the lines that i cannot?

Is there anybody that you know personally you would choose for president?
I would not support a candidate whom I don't know. I always study a candidate before I support him.
Reply:Yes, there is one man who I would gladly nominate for US President. The only problem is, he is my legal counsel and he's irreplaceable to me, how could I share him with the country?!!

As for the candidates, I do make it a point to get to know them and to meet them. As someone who has been politically active since 1968, I get invited to pretty much all the states on the campaign trail. I am already pledged to a candidate based on my intensive research on everyone in the field and meeting a few of them.
Reply:Gee that's a loaded question. Who would I vote for that I know personally? Let me ask you this If I answer this will I have any friends left? Which aren't many. Can I choose God?
Reply:My Dad...but besides him I'll vote for Mitt Romney because he's the closest person running like my father. Honest, Smart, Well read, has integrity, looks at all angles of issues, looks the part and isn't going to look like a redneck in the White House, ....and I'm sick of people I can't trust. He's just the guy we need.
Reply:Mr.Bean
Reply:a few WWII Veterans
Reply:Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Garfield, Scooby Doo, Etc....

(any of the above would be fine with me)
Reply:I've met Chuck Yeager.

I'd be content if he was running the country.

I prefer a candidate who has served in the military. A demonstrated willingness to place themselves in harm's way for the defense of the nation says a lot more to me than winning any popularity contests or their ability to influence a bunch of lawyers and get a law passed.

Some actions speak louder than words, and talk is as cheap as air.
Reply:I'd vote for you.

- Yes, right. It's disturbing that nine insomniacs on Yahoo Answers don't hob nob with McCain? Yet, wouldn't it be funny if one in this small group did know a candidate personally?
