What do people think about the reformatting of what was Inside NEXTEL Cup?

In case you haven't heard this is how it'll be:





Inside NEXTEL Cup will undergo a format change for 2008, as veteran NASCAR personality Steve Byrnes takes over hosting duties on the newly named This Week in NASCAR, set to premiere February 18. This Week in NASCAR will move away from a NASCAR Sprint Cup race re-cap and analysis show, moving into a “handoff” position between events, reviewing topical items from previous races in all three NASCAR national touring series, while also looking forward to upcoming events. Familiar faces, including Michael Waltrip, Greg Biffle and Ken Schrader will remain as regular Monday night panelists, with NASCAR crew chiefs, including two-time champ Chad Knaus also joining the show.

What do people think about the reformatting of what was Inside NEXTEL Cup?
I will miss Dave Despain but I am looking forward to the new format and the addition of the best crew chief in the business. I suspect they are moving Chad to this show so that if he gets suspended it won't interfere with his ability to participate in it. If you remember on NASCAR Performance (or whatever it was called) last year, with Bootie Barker, Chad wasn't on the show during his suspension. I'm guessing that is because it was in the garage or pit area of the track. Greg Biffle and Kenny Schrader are awesome on there. I can even handle Mikey more since he had some humbling experiences last year. I couldn't stand him when ALL he did was plug his sponsors.
Reply:I enjoyed Dave as the host..but I look forward to the new format...I really enjoy Ken Schrader joking with Michael and Greg setting the record straight..that's funny !


I think Chad will add a lot of interest and insight to the show.
Reply:The new format sounds pretty Good although I think dave Despain was a good Host--Maybe he will get another type of show!!!!!

The old one was good but, how many times can you analyze a single crash or pass.
Reply:never cared for despain anyway I dont know why just something about him I do like steve byrnes %26amp; i think it will be good covering all of the series
Reply:I think it will be great cause I didn't like Dave Despain on there. I like him, just not on this particular show.
